HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING

  • Your room uses three separate systems:

    Heating is provided by the radiator next to the window (controlled from the wall panel).
    Cooling is provided by the fan-coil system (controlled from the wall panel).
    Fresh air is supplied by the building’s mechanical ventilation system, which operates continuously 24/7.

    These systems work independently from one another.

  • During the heating season:

    Keep the radiator next to the window set to 5.
    Set the desired room temperature on the controller .
    The home/person icon should show a person inside the house.
    The leaf should not be visible.
    A flame icon should appear when there is a heating demand.
    The fan can remain OFF or AUTO, as the fan-coil does not heat the room.

    Opening the window will stop the heating system (two dashes will appear on the controller).
    Heating normally activates when the room temperature falls approximately 0.5°C below the selected temperature.

  • During the cooling season, cooling is provided by the fan-coil system.

    For correct operation:

    set the fan to AUTO;
    choose the desired (low) temperature;
    check that the snowflake icon appears when cooling is active;
    keep the window closed.

    Opening the window will stop the cooling system (two dashes will appear on the controller).

  • No. The fan-coil only cools the air already inside your room.

    Fresh air is supplied separately by the building’s ventilation system.

  • Ventilation is a separate system operating 24/7.

    It works independently from the heating and air conditioning, so changing the temperature or fan settings does not switch the ventilation on or off.

    Fresh air is supplied automatically through the round ventilation outlets located on the ceiling or walls.

FLANCO STRUCTURE APP

  • The Flanco Structure app is available for both iOS and Android.

    You can download it from:

    App Store – search for “Flanco Structure”
    Google Play – search for “Flanco Structure”

    After installing the app, log in using the email address connected to your residency.

    If you have not received your activation details or cannot access your account, please contact Reception.

  • Please report technical issues through the Flanco Structure app.

    When creating a request:

    Open the maintenance/service request section.
    Select the appropriate category.
    Describe the problem as accurately as possible.
    Add photos whenever possible.
    Submit the request.

    Instead of writing only “something is broken”, please explain what is not working, where the problem is located and what happens when you try to use it. This helps our technical team resolve the issue faster. This follows the same reporting model currently described for Campus.

  • All guests should be registered in the Flanco Structure app before entering the residence.

    Open the guest/visitor section, enter the required details and select the date of the visit.

    Registering a guest does not exempt residents or visitors from following SHED guest rules.

  • Common areas which require reservations can be booked through the Flanco Structure app.

    Select the booking/reservations section, choose the relevant space, select an available time and confirm your reservation.

    Please check the rules displayed in the app before completing your booking.
